Vivian Mejia, APCC

Vivian MejiaVVivian Mejia is a Los Angeles-based Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #8602). At a young age, she found herself interested in psychology. Vivian earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the California State University, Northridge where she volunteered for their Crisis Helpline. After graduating she worked as a Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) working with children and adults diagnosed with Developmental Disabilities. Vivian wanted to expand her knowledge in psychology and applied to obtain her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During her graduate program Vivian interned in Counseling Partners of Los Angeles providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents in a school setting.

Once graduated, Vivian worked in San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center with adults diagnosed with chronic mental disorders providing psychotherapy and case management.

Vivian provides Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and implements other therapy modalities depending on her clients’ needs.

Vivian looks forward to connecting with adults individually or as a couple, on this journey of improving mental wellness. While working with couples, she helps partners rebuild trust and improve their communication skills. She incorporates compassion, empathy, and cultural competence during her sessions.
