Certified Anger Management Counselor, Career Counselor

With a diverse background in education and counseling, Destiny Johnson relocated to the Los Angeles area from Oakland, California to attend California State University of Northridge (CSUN). A first generation collegiate in her family, Destiny graduated from CSUN and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology before going on to attain her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, specializing in College Counseling and Student Services. 

Destiny is an advocate for improved mental health and wellness and specializes in career counseling, career development, and planning. Having worked in educational institutions both as an instructor, administration, and as a Career Counselor. Destiny has fostered a passion for promoting equitable services for underserved populations and those in need. She is driven toward encouraging others to achieve success and now comes to the  Avedian Counseling Center (ACC) excited to be a part of a team that actively seeks to assist  others in finding success in making healthier lifestyle choices. Destiny looks forward to being an asset to the ACC administration team helping to strengthen its marketing reach, increased visibility, and also through being a Certified Anger Management counselor and Career counselor to help better serve our clientele.  Destiny holds two career assessment certification for Myers Briggs Type Indication (MBTI) personality and Strong Interest Inventory (SII) as well as additional career card sorts to help clients explore the world of work.
