In essence, life coaching is a process which aids people to identify and achieve personal goals. Life coaches help clients work through a process to set and reach these goals through an array of techniques. The process of life coaching features:

  • Discovering and identifying important goals
  • Designing a plan to achieve those goals
  • Learning life skills to reach the goals
  • Minimizing/eliminating obstacles in your path

Life coaching is not a form of therapy, nor should it be used to replace it. It stems from fields such as positive development, career counseling and mentoring, among others. It centers around the idea that you, the client, have the answers to the questions or challenges in your life, and empower you to search and find those answers within yourself.
